Decision-Making Positions and Their Duties

1. **International Policy Council**

   This council addresses all matters related to policy-making, planning, approval, and supervision of international affairs.

2. **International Executive Committee**

   Responsible for organizing common affairs between departments within the university to facilitate international services.

3. **Department of International Communications and Cooperation**

   This department operates under the supervision of the university president to provide international services in education, research, cultural, and educational affairs.

4. **Unit for Supervising International Students (Non-Iranians)**

   The head of the unit for supervising international students is the head of the Department of International Communications and Cooperation.

   **Organization of the Supervision Unit**

   Depending on the number of international students (non-Iranians) and the scope of activities, the supervision unit may employ experts or utilize available facilities for assistants in any of the following matters:

   A. **Educational Desk**

      **Responsibilities:**
      - Explaining educational regulations to students and guiding them in educational matters such as selecting the right department, choosing study units, and familiarizing them with concepts like addition, deletion, conditional additions, and emergency deletions through counseling sessions and providing guidance booklets.
      - Coordinating between supervising professors and teaching assistants to solve educational problems for students.
      - Evaluating the academic and educational progress of scholarship students and regularly providing it along with relevant statistics to the General Administration of Student Affairs at the Ministry.
      - Investigating educational problems faced by students and providing proposals to the Ministry's Student Affairs Management.
      - Holding assistance sessions to aid in understanding the lessons according to students' needs.
      - Coordinating in resolving students' problems and managing their affairs.

   B. **Welfare Desk**

      **Responsibilities:**
      - Welcoming students upon their entry into the university.
      - Coordinating with various university departments and familiarizing students with the proper use of university facilities.
      - Coordinating and monitoring the resolution of students' welfare problems in different university departments.
      - Constant attention to the psychological and emotional well-being of students, acquainting them with relevant authorities in necessary cases.
      - Providing appropriate facilities for communication between students and their families.
      - Monitoring the regular payment of fees by scholarship students and compliance with the guidelines for granting scholarships to non-Iranian students.

   C. **Cultural Desk**

      **Responsibilities:**
      - Introducing students to the culture and civilization of Islam and the Islamic Republic of Iran through film screenings and organizing various exhibitions and festivals.
      - Establishing scientific and cultural student associations.
      - Providing opportunities for students to participate in cultural, extracurricular, national, and religious programs.
      - Organizing scientific and tourist camps and trips to better acquaint students with the province and city of study and other cities in the country.
      - Assisting students in organizing national celebrations for each country and providing necessary facilities.

   D. **Admissions Desk**

      **Responsibilities:**
      - Advertising and promoting the university to attract applicants through consultations, brochures, consulates, embassies, and communication with relevant organizations.
      - Communicating with applicants to the university and providing them with necessary information.
      - Receiving and reviewing the initial documents of applicants according to ministry and internal regulations.
      - Examining the documents received from the International Student Admissions Committee.
      - Confirming the general qualifications of the applicant through relevant authorities.
      - Compiling the application file for the applicant to study in the International Student Admissions Committee.
      - Examining the applicant files.
      - Conducting necessary correspondence with relevant authorities.
      - Following up on and managing the consular affairs of applicants.
      - Recording relevant guiding principles and proposing them to the International Student Admissions Committee.
      - Implementing the laws of the International Admissions Committee.
      - Presenting a report on the acceptance of applicants to the International Student Admissions Committee.
      - Endorsing the English certificate and sending it to the relevant authorities.
      - Following up on scholarship applications for the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology.
      - Receiving and following up on scholarship applications for the center.
      - Corresponding and responding to inquiries from the ministry, police forces, and other relevant authorities.

   E. **Consular Desk**

      **Responsibilities:**
      - Necessary coordination in matters related to changing residence permits, extending residence, issuing exit and re-entry permits, and canceling residence permits for students.

5. **Director of Education**

   - Examining and endorsing students' qualifications and special study conditions at the university.
   - Issuing student acceptance for study at the university.
   - Managing educational affairs in accordance with university regulations.
   - Monitoring students' financial affairs.
   - Providing grade sheets and graduation certificates after ministry approval.
   - Evaluating and issuing graduation certificates.
   - Dealing with the General Directorate of International Students Reception Office regarding students' general qualifications.
   - Corresponding with relevant authorities within the country and internationally.
   - Verifying residence permits at the beginning of each academic semester.
   - Investigating and following up on students' issues.

6. **Cultural and Student Services Administration**

   **Responsibilities:**
   - Providing free accommodation or housing allowance for single scholarship students, with consideration given to providing a separate place to accommodate these students.
   - Ensuring health care, food, and other necessary care facilities for scholarship students based on university and higher education center regulations in the country.
   - Providing financial assistance for study and presenting proposals for eligible scholarship students (individuals receiving a type A scholarship).
   - Facilitating and coordinating the provision of accommodation, health insurance, food, and other care facilities for non-scholarship students on the condition that the student pays the fees determined by the university.
   - Finding facilities and coordinating the provision of accommodation for married students at or outside the university for all scholarship and non-scholarship students, provided that the student pays the fees determined by the university.
   - Monitoring the medical examination of students (all students undergo a medical examination once a year).
